Time sensitive
by Michael Tyrrell
For some time now, I have been carrying a revelation so intense I’ve struggled to put it into words.Though I will be releasing it in it’s entirety in the next few weeks, I felt it was imperative I share a portion of the revelation now because of its “time sensitive’ nature. Hebrews 13:8 “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever”. If you believe this to be true it will help you understand everything I’m about to say.
Time is an invention. God created day and night and seasons for man. Man created units of measure and kept track of the hours by using a sundial and the days by devising a calendar. One thing is clear, God the Father cannot be measured in time. God is eternal, eternity is boundless – it has no beginning therefore it also has no end. Eternity cannot be filled, time however, can be. Unlike eternity, time is imperfect. If you don’t believe me try staring at the second hand on your wrist watch for several minutes. Sooner or later you will see the second hand click backwards then forwards a click. This is called a “schism’ in time.
In the same way, we can see repetitive cycles in history, hence the phrase “history repeats”. Often we can create a prophetic template by going back to the future. Like the second hand on a watch, sometimes we have to move backwards in order to move forward. In my article “The seasons of seven” (Issue 1of Elijah Rain Magazine), I explained how you could see where 2007 was going by examining 1967. The same will prove true of 2008 after comparing it to 1968. So,if that which is imperfect often repeats, how much greater the chance of the One who is the same yesterday, today and forever, perfectly executing His ways throughout generations.
There is so much more I have to share on this subject but I will get to the point. God is really speaking through numbers! 222, 444, 1111, 888 are just a few of the repetitive numbers with prophetic significance. Are you blown away yet? Read on. The current Hebraic calendar year is 5767. Israel’s New Year or Rosh Hashanah starts approximately 3.5 months before our Greco Roman calendar.
So, to the Jew first, then the Gentile; in this amazing stagger-step relationship, the Jew goes first! Interestingly, the word Rosh Hashanah interpreted means “head of the year”. In a normal birth the head comes first. Israel enters the New Year first and we follow shortly after. Check this out…when you apply the skein of Pythagoras (a mathematical equation) to 5767 it looks like this: 5 + 7 + 6 + 7 = 25, then apply the skein to 25 and it is 2 +5 which equals 7! In the western world we’re in the 7th year of a brand new millennium. In 2008 the Hebrew calendar will be 5768, which totals 8 when you apply the skein of Pythagoras (5 + 7 + 6 + 8 = 26 then add 2 + 6 which equals 8!). If you underline the 67 in 5767 and the 68 in 5768 you will see where we are going from where we have been. 40 years from 2007 is 1967, 40 years from 2008 is 1968. Go back and study world history 40 years ago and you will find amazing similarities to our current times.
When was the last time you heard the term “cold war” between the U.S. and Russia and mention of the 6-day war in Israel? So now let’s go way back to a repetitive cycle that appears to have started with Abraham.
The 490 revelation
Starting from Abraham’s calling in the desert of Beersheba, count forward 490 years and you will find the Exodus of the Israelites (the parting of the Red Sea). Now, count forward another 490 years from that event and you will find the building of Solomon’s temple. Count ahead 490 years from that and you’ll find Nehemiah’s rebuilding of the walls of Jerusalem. In fact, every 490 years you will see a pattern of our heavenly Father doing the same thing right up until now. Wow! That’s right, 2007 is a 490th year! For this to excite you, you must first understand what God is doing. You see, generally we celebrate in even numbers…25, 50, 100, 200 etc. Why would God choose to mark every 490years? Multiply 70 times 7. Yep, it equals 490! Historically, with the exception of predestination, there are 3 questions that have invited more conjecture and debate than any other:
1. What was Paul’s thorn in the flesh?
2. What did Jesus write in the sand with his finger?
3. Why did Jesus use the equation 70 x 7 when asked about forgiveness?
Did you get it? The ultimate prophet, priest and king was revealing his Father’s template formercy! Every 490 years God builds something for Himself and brings forgiveness and mercy when everyone was expecting His wrath and judgment. At each point in history on the heels of turbulence comes change. The Lord extends His mercy and forgiveness and establishes something for himself.
I will go into more detail about what I believe He is establishing for himself in the totality of this revelation, which will be titled “Pieces of Eight”. Here’s the time sensitive part. Now that you know that 2007 is a 490th year, count backwards 490 years. You will come to the year 1517. Does this year sound familiar to you? On October 31stof the year 1517 Martin Luther nailed his 95 thesis to the Wittenberg Castle church door. Could this October 31stmark the 3rd and final reformation of the church? Jesus brought the 1st reformation, Martin Luther brought the 2nd one and I believe the remnant churchwill bring the 3rd. October31st was originally known as “Reformation Day”. Only in modern times was it renamed Halloween. Can a curse be reversed? Can the church be recovered? I believe so, so let me explain.
Ever since the early 60’s the voice, declaration and intercession of millions of children was silenced in the public school system by law. Because the purest intercessors of the body of Christ (the children) were silenced, we’ve experienced the dark ages of the last 40 years. Today, whenever there are conferences, symposiums or panels on the topic “Where does the church go from here?” or “What is the emerging church”, the ones with the answers are never invited. Usually the only ones participating in these meetings are 40 years of age or older. That is the problem.
I will explain….King David was very zealous to build God a house, but one day God said to David (I’m paraphrasing) “Dave, I love your heart but my house is not yours to build. It will be your son Solomon who will sit on your throne and will build a house for me.” You see, it wasn’t for David to build God’s house so He made the provision possible for His son to do it. Today we need true apostolic fathers to rise up and make a way for our spiritual sons and daughters. They are the ones that have been entrusted with the schematic for our future. It’s all about fathers and sons.
The sons and daughters are the warheads and the mothers and fathers are the guidance mechanism. It will take all of us together to hit the target. Here’s a short range target: How many youth pastors would be interested in an opportunity that wouldn’t cut into the church budget, wouldn’t require fund raising, wasn’t a conference and included everyone?
Here it is. Like Solomon who knew what the temple he was building should look like, the youth know what the emerging church should look like… it’s in their DNA! Why don’t you ask them? That’s right, in the next few weeks challenge your youth to write down what they believe the church should look like. Don’t give them a form (it doesn’t have to be 95 theses!). It may be one idea or 100ideas. Then one week from October 31st(Reformation Day), compile all the lists and decide upon one master list. Next, make several copies (here comes the fun part) devise a strategy for your youth group to tape your list on as many local church doors as possible on October 31st.
What will this accomplish you might ask? What did one little monk 490 years ago accomplish by nailing his list on one local church door? Are you getting excited yet? Now consider this, depending on your student sages, some of them have been listening to you once a week for 4 years, it’s time to give them a voice. Let’s let the youth of America know we honor them and greatly value their opinions.
I dare every youth pastor reading this message to go for it. Youth have been at the forefront of every revival in history. Historically revivals usually last only 3.5 years. You have an opportunity to start a revolution that could reform the church in our generation! All that it will cost you is your time, your passion, and a commitment. October 31st is just around thebend, so you better get cracking…..Viva la Revolution!
